Relaunch Day for Likhaan's Website

Updated: Apr 11, 2023

Today, Valentine’s Day 2023, is relaunch day for Likhaan Center for Women’s Health’s website. Having it on Hearts’ Day is an accident. It is the happy conjunction of 3+ years of attempts to rehabilitate the old website and the final availability of staff who could do the work full time. Thank you, Manan Trust, for making this dream come true. Thank you, Jun and Shiela for the spadework, and Allona and Lexie for the final execution.

Website 2.0 carries over from the first website, dropped unceremoniously in 2012 to keep all Likhaan hands on deck for the final push for the RH Bill in Congress and, subsequently, to resist further challenges to the RH Law in the Supreme Court and local governments.

In 2023, we have a wealth of information to share regarding the complex social-political terrain of SRHR work and the expanding meanings of SRHR. In addition, Likhaan Center has almost doubled in size and capacity. Now we have 9 community-based health programs comprised of primary RH clinics, community organizing, and local advocacy; and 1 central-office based clinic providing face-to-face and online services and outreach RH education and clinic services.

We know that this organizational growth requires greater accountability.

This renewed website is our platform for updating the public, most especially our patients, affiliate community organizations in the federation, PILAKKK (Pinagsamang Lakas ng Kababaihan, Kabataan, at lahat ng Kasarian), funding partners, program partners, and everyone who supported our work since we started 27 years ago. Here we will tell you of our successes, as well as our failures; and the continuing efforts to improve the amount and quality of our work, which is our obligation.

Let us know what you think!
