It starts with a sense that something isn’t right or isn’t fair. You begin to question the logic of privilege. You realize that certain things are denied you and / or expected of you because you are a girl. You think, “This is not right.” You have no name for this sharpening of consciousness, this anxiety, or this confusion at the rupture of your old vision of a simple, just, logical world.
